A Community of Giving
The exceptional SJS educational experience is possible due to the generosity of our school community. Parents, grandparents, alumni and staff are committed to providing an incredible learning environment for children. Philanthropy over the years―supporting programmes, facilities and financial aid―has transformed the school.
Here’s How You Can Make a Gift
Online
You can make a secure gift online.
Phone
You can make a gift over the phone using your credit card by calling Ms. Trish Richards, Annual Giving and Community Relations Manager, at 604 742 4091.
By Mail
A cheque, made payable to St. John’s School, can be mailed to:
The Advancement Office
St. John’s School
2215 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6K 2J1
Pledges
Rather than making an outright cash gift, you may prefer to schedule the payments over a period of time. A pledge may allow you to contribute more significantly than otherwise might be possible, while extending tax advantages over two or three years.
Gift of Securities
A gift of securities is a convenient and tax effective way to make a gift to our school. Donations of stocks, mutual funds and other securities receive a tax credit but does not trigger tax on realized capital gains.
Flow-Through Shares
SJS accepts donations originating from flow-through shares. Flow-through share donations can help donors increase and accelerate the impact of their charitable giving by significantly lowering the after-tax cost. For more information contact Angela Dudek, Executive Director for Advancement at adudek@sjs.ca.
Corporate Matching
Some employers offer to match gifts made by their employees to not-for-profits like SJS. This is known as Corporate Matching. If your company offers Corporate Matching, this is a great way to double your impact to SJS. Please contact Angela Dudek for more information.
Planned Giving
A planned gift is a donation made as part of a donor’s estate planning. These include gifts of life insurance, real estate, personal property or cash. A planned gift will leave a legacy for generations of SJS students.
If you need more information on ways to give, please contact Angela Dudek.
