Introduction

Our recommended entry points for the Junior School are Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Starting at SJS in these early years builds early confidence and skills, which will allow your child to fully benefit from the foundational years of the IB programme.

Application Steps

1. Complete the Online Application Form

Submit your application through our online portal, pay the application fee ($350), and upload all required supporting documents through the online application portal by each grade’s deadline.

2. Attend the Admissions Assessment

In-person only.

Following the application deadline, you will receive confirmation of your assigned assessment date and time. Attendance is mandatory to be considered for admission. Note: We are unable to accommodate requests for an alternate date.

3. Shortlist Decision

The Admissions Committee reviews all applications and assessment results, including report cards and reference forms. You will be notified of your shortlist status on the specific date listed above for your grade.

4. Parent/Guardian Interview

Shortlisted applicants only.

Parents of shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview with our Enrolment team during the window listed above. This is an approximately 30-minute interview and can be conducted virtually or in-person. Note: Current SJS families and those who completed an interview for the 2026–2027 intake year are not required to do another, but may request one.

5. Admission Decision

After a final review, first-round offers will be released on February 24. As openings become available, additional offers may be made from the wait pool on a rolling basis.

Introduction

We welcome applications to Grades 1 and 4 and every applicant to these grades is invited to attend an Admissions Assessment.

Note: Current SJS families and those who completed an interview for the 2026–2027 intake year are not required to do another, but may request one.

After a final review, first-round offers will be released on February 24. As openings become available, additional offers may be made from the wait pool on a rolling basis. The wait pool remains active through the summer.

Introduction

In our Middle Years Programme (MYP), the recommended entry points are Grades 6 and 8, where we have the most openings. Spaces in Grades 7, 9, and 10 are more limited, however, we actively welcome applications from interested families. To respect your time, we review applications first and only invite shortlisted candidates to an assessment.

2. Shortlist Decision

The Admissions Committee reviews all applications and supporting documentation, including report cards, alongside anticipated openings. You will be notified of your shortlist status on January 14. Note: Siblings of current SJS students are automatically shortlisted and invited to the assessment.

3. Attend the Admissions Assessment and Student Interview

Shortlisted applicants only. 

If shortlisted, you will receive your assessment time in your invitation. Attendance is mandatory for consideration for admission. Applicants to these grades may request a virtual assessment if needed. Note: We are unable to accommodate requests for an alternate date or time.

There is no additional parent interview, and parents are asked to provide their insights on the application form.

4. Admission Decision

After a final review, first-round offers will be released on February 17. As openings become available, additional offers may be made from the wait pool on a rolling basis. The wait pool remains active through the summer.

Introduction

Grade 11 entry is available for students seeking strong preparation for university. Joining SJS at this stage allows students to step directly into the IB Diploma Programme (DP), building a rigorous academic foundation for higher education. Every applicant to Grade 11 is automatically invited to attend our Admissions Assessment.

Application Steps

2. Shortlist Decision

The Admissions Committee reviews all applications and assessment results, including report cards and reference forms. You will be notified of your shortlist status on January 14. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to schedule their family interview.

3. Student and Parent/Guardian Interviews

Shortlisted applicants only.

Shortlisted students and their parents/guardians will be invited to an interview with the IB Diploma Coordinator or Principal of the Senior School, during the window listed above. This is an approximately 45-minute interview that can be conducted virtually or in person.

4. Admission Decision

After a final review, first-round offers will be released on February 17. As openings become available, additional offers may be made from the wait pool on a rolling basis.
